1) Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc.) course of one year duration (2 semesters of 6 months each) Eligibility criteria for admission: (a) For Fresher Candidates: Minimum qualification: Graduation (10+2+3 pattern) from any discipline or Masters degree or a technical degree (of the pattern 10+2+4) or (10+2+5) such as Engineering, Computer Application, Pharmacy, Law etc. from any U.G.C recognized University or Institute. (b) For deputed candidates: Graduation and working experience as a full- time salaried staff in any Govt. / Govt. aided Libraries/recognized institution (Govt. or semi Govt.). The candidate should have a no objection certificate from the institution. (c) For Certificate holders in Library Science: Graduation (10+2+3) with certificate in Library Science. |

2. Procedure for Admission to B.Lib.I.Sc Degree will be made by the respective Admission Board. 2.1 The concerned Admission Board of the University will decide the policy pertaining to procedures of preparation of merit and other related norms for admission with a proposed intake of 49 students for B.Lib.I.Sc Programme keeping consonance with the orders issued by the competent authorities from time to time. 2.2 Students shall be eligible for admission to B.Lib.I.Sc programme under Regular Mode as per merit list prepared on the basis of aadmission test arranged by the concerned department. 2.3 The Intake capacity, reservation of seats for each academic session will be decided by the competent authority of the University and the Govt. norms and regulations. 2.4 Each candidate will be required to pay requisite admission fees as per schedule as prescribed by the University from time to time. |
